Sungrow SBR

The SBR is a high-voltage stack of 3.2 kWh modules for Sungrow's own hybrid inverters, sold in seven sizes from the SBR064 (6.4 kWh) to the SBR256 (25.6 kWh), usable at up to 100% depth of discharge. Sungrow's manual lists the single-phase SH-RS and three-phase SH-RT and SH-T hybrids as partners, and the inverter provides the backup output.

Every size runs at 30 A continuous, so rated power rises with the stack, from 3.84 kW for the SBR064 to 15.36 kW for the SBR256. The SBR064, SBR096 and SBR128 sit under the 14 kWh point where the federal discount rate drops, and the SBR160 and larger go past it.

The Australian warranty covers 10 years with at least 70% capacity and no cycle limit for daily self-consumption and backup use, with throughput caps for other uses. It needs the system monitored in iSolarCloud, and it limits how many days a year the battery can spend above 35 C, so check where it will sit. It does not charge below 0 C.
