AlphaESS SMILE-M-BAT-13.9P

The SMILE-M-BAT-13.9P is a single 13.99 kWh LFP module, usable at 100% depth of discharge, that pairs with AlphaESS's single-phase SMILE-M5 system. At 13.99 kWh it sits just under the 14 kWh point where the federal discount rate drops, and AlphaESS sells it on that basis. A second module takes the SMILE-M5 to 27.98 kWh, and the part above 14 kWh earns the discount at a lower rate.

Its rated DC power is 5.04 kW and the SMILE-M5 inverter is rated at 5 kW, so this is a large store of energy with modest output. That suits spreading stored energy across the evening better than running several large appliances at once. AlphaESS lists UPS backup for the SMILE-M5.

The Australian warranty covers 10 years with 70% of usable capacity retained, provided throughput stays under 3.12 MWh per kWh of usable capacity, or about 43.6 MWh for one module. One full cycle a day would reach that in about eight and a half years. The module does not charge below 0 C and weighs 115 kg on a floor base.
