LG Energy Solution RESU Prime

RESU Prime comes in two fixed sizes rather than stackable modules. The RESU10H Prime gives 9.6 kWh usable and 5 kW, with 7 kW for 10 seconds when discharging. The RESU16H Prime gives 16.0 kWh and 7 kW, with 11 kW for 10 seconds. Up to two of the same model can run in parallel, for 19.2 kWh and 10 kW, or 32.0 kWh and 14 kW.

The 10H sits under the 14 kWh point where the federal discount rate drops. The 16H goes 2 kWh past it, and that part earns the discount at a lower rate. It is a high-voltage battery that needs an inverter from LG's Australian compatibility list, so check your inverter is on it before you choose.

The warranty covers 10 years with 70% energy retention, or 32 MWh for the 10H and 54 MWh for the 16H, whichever comes first. At one full cycle a day both reach their throughput limit a little after nine years. The spec sheets say lithium-ion without naming the cell type, and the warranty drops to at least five years if the battery is not registered or connected to LG's monitoring.
