Our read of the datasheet
PowerOcean batteries are 5.12 kWh packs, 4.8 kWh usable at 95% depth of discharge, that stack under an EcoFlow PowerOcean hybrid inverter. A single-phase inverter takes up to four packs, or 19.4 kWh, and EcoFlow's system datasheets allow cascading inverters for up to 60 kWh on single-phase and 90 kWh on three-phase.
Each pack adds 3.3 kW of discharge and 2.5 kW of charge power on the battery side, but the inverter sets what reaches your home: 3 to 6 kW for the single-phase models and 6 to 12 kW for three-phase. Two packs (9.7 kWh) sit under the 14 kWh point where the federal discount rate drops, and three packs (14.5 kWh) go just past it. The datasheet notes that depth of discharge can vary in cold weather.
EcoFlow's Australian warranty covers the pack for 15 years or 6,000 cycles, whichever comes first, with at least 70% of nominal capacity when used with EcoFlow inverters. One full cycle a day would take about 16 years to reach 6,000 cycles, so at that rate the 15-year term ends first. The system must stay connected to the internet, or cover drops to 5 years after a year offline. The pack is rated IP65 for -20 to 50 C.
