VPP offer looks good. Not so keen on someone else running the battery

The joining offer is tempting. We've already had backup circuits fitted, and I'd like to keep some charge aside for a blackout. If I join this VPP, can I still set that reserve myself? The brochure has plenty about earnings but not much about that.

    Depends on the agreement. I'd ask them to point to the clause about the reserve, who can change it and whether dispatch can take it below your setting.

    Check the way out as well. How long are you signing up for, and is there a fee if you leave?

    That's the bit I couldn't find. All the examples show earnings. I'll ask for the actual agreement before deciding.

    I'd do the same. I'd rather know what control I'm giving up than try to work it out during a blackout.
