Battery going in next week. What should I ask before they leave?

Reading the installation stories has made me a bit nervous. I've got the quote and warranty emails, but no idea what a proper handover looks like. What do people forget to ask on the day?

Get them to show you the app on YOUR phone before they pack up. Including which screen shows the battery actually charging. Sounds obvious, easy to miss.

Ask them to explain the shutdown instructions and what you're meant to do if there's a fault. If anything looks loose or damaged, point it out before they leave. Definitely don't poke around the wiring yourself.

Definitely not touching the wiring! Making a phone note now so I don't forget half of this while they're here.

I'd add the compliance paperwork, serial numbers and photos of the finished job. Ask whether it's commissioned and ready to use, or still waiting on an inspection or approval. Get a date for any missing documents.

Plus a service contact. A sales mobile is handy until the salesperson moves on.
