Free power at midday... but we're all at work

Keep seeing these free midday power offers. We already export solar at lunch and buy most of our power after dark. The car comes to work with me too. Am I missing something, or is this just not a great fit for us?

    What are the evening rates, daily charge and feed-in rate? That's where I'd start. You could save at lunch and still pay more overall. I'd compare a year's meter data if you've got it, including winter.

    Check it's actually available at your address first. Some headlines are about another state's scheme. If it is, look at the hours, any usage cap and whether weekends count. Is the car home then?

    Sundays mostly. Good point about the postcode. I've been reading the headline, not the plan details. I'll check that first, then compare the full bill rather than one Sunday of charging.
