Our read of the datasheet

The X1-Hybrid G4 5.0 is a 5 kW single-phase hybrid, limited to 4,999 W for AS/NZS 4777 in Australia, with 3 kW to 7.5 kW siblings on the same datasheet. SolaX recommends up to 10 kWp of panels, twice the AC rating, over two MPPTs rated for 16 A each.

With a battery connected, the EPS (backup) output is 5 kVA, rising to 7.5 kVA for 10 seconds, with a switchover time under 10 ms. The battery input accepts high-voltage lithium batteries between 80 V and 480 V at up to 30 A.

Peak efficiency is 97.6% and European efficiency 97.0%. The 5.0 kW model is naturally cooled, weighs 24 kg and is rated IP65. AFCI arc-fault protection is optional, and the AU datasheet does not state a warranty term.

We have not tested this inverter. This summary follows from the manufacturer's published specifications, checked 23 September 2026.
