Our read of the datasheet
The E5KS-D22 is a 5 kW single-phase hybrid from KSTAR's BlueSpark range, a common size for a typical home. KSTAR recommends up to 10 kW of PV, double the AC rating, spread over two MPPTs rated for 20 A each, which suits high-current panels and a two-face roof.
It uses a 48 V low-voltage LFP battery with rated charge and discharge of 5,000 W and 5,400 W. Backup output is 5 kVA, though no switchover time is given, and up to four units can be paralleled for on-grid and off-grid use.
Peak PV efficiency is 97.2% and European efficiency 96.4%. AFCI arc-fault protection is listed as optional rather than standard, so ask whether it is included. KSTAR states a 10-year warranty and an IP66 rating.
We have not tested this inverter. This summary follows from the manufacturer's published specifications, checked 23 September 2026.
