The Alpha Pure-RX uses REC's heterojunction cells in an 88 half-cell layout; this is the 460 W bin of the 440 W to 470 W series, at 22.1% efficiency. Its -0.24%/°C temperature coefficient is the lowest in this guide, and the power warranty guarantees 92% after 25 years, based on 98% in year one and 0.25% a year after.
The format differs from most panels here: 1728 x 1205 mm and 22.7 kg, with a high voltage (54.9 V) and low current (8.38 A) at maximum power. REC highlights the low current for microinverters and optimisers, while the high voltage means fewer panels per string on a string inverter. The maximum system voltage is 1000 V.
The standard warranty is 20 years on the product and 25 years on power. REC's ProTrust warranty lifts the product term to 25 years and adds 25 years of labour cover for systems under 25 kW, but only when an REC Certified Solar Professional installs and registers the panels.
