The JAM54D40-475/LR is the top of JA Solar's 450 W to 475 W DeepBlue 4.0 Pro double-glass series, at 23.8% efficiency in the common 1762 x 1134 mm size. Front and back are 1.6 mm glass, and it weighs 22 kg.
The temperature coefficient is -0.29%/°C, in line with other N-type panels here. Operating current at maximum power is 13.90 A, a little lower than some rivals of the same size, which gives more margin on inverters with lower MPPT current limits. Power tolerance is -5 W to +10 W, so a panel may be up to 5 W below its label.
The power warranty is 30 years, with 87.4% of output guaranteed at the end, based on 1% loss in year one and 0.4% a year after. The product warranty is 15 years, shorter than the 25 years offered on several panels in this guide.
